Welcome to Canada's third Telecommunities Conference. Building on the first and second conferences, which were held in Ottawa and Victoria, respectively, this conference promises to enlighten and expand your awareness of the Telecommunity Spirit. What is the Telecommunity Spirit, you ask? It is the spirit which binds and joins all community networks across Canada together, enabling them to share their knowledge and cooperate together. The Telecommunities 96 Conference will be an excellent meeting place for discovering how to start a community network or how to make the most of your existing community network. It will be an opportunity to meet people with similar visions, and to share your ideas and thought in a positive and open environment. We are pleased to host this very important conference and look forward in seeing your spirit at this conference in Edmonton.
